Exact Eye Care recieves Doing Business Award

KEARNEY – The Kearney Area Chamber of Commerce Colonels presented their April Doing Business Award to Exact Eye Care, 4919 2nd Ave. Ste 53 in the Hilltop Mall. Colonel Vice Chair, Scott Bazata, presented the award to Dr. Jeff Kozal.
Dr. Jeff Kozal is a lifelong resident of the state of Nebraska. After completing studies at Chadron State College, he moved to Texas to attend the University of Houston College of Optometry. After graduation, Dr. Kozal returned to his home state and is licensed to practice the highest level of optometry as granted by the Nebraska Optometry Board. He has been practicing optometry in Kearney for 21 years.
Dr. Kozal enjoys working with patients of all ages. He routinely sees young children who are getting ready to attend preschool or kindergarten. He fits all of the latest contact lens products including lenses that correct for astigmatism and bifocals. He also fits the new contact lenses that help improve visual function for patients who spend a lot of time on the computer and handheld devices such as tablets and phones.
In addition to prescribing glasses and contact lenses, Dr. Kozal diagnoses and treats conditions such as dry eye, eye infections, cataracts, macular degeneration, and glaucoma. If you are interested in LASIK, Dr. Kozal co-manages with the best surgeons in the state.
Dr. Kozal has been an active member of the American Optometric Association and the Nebraska Optometric Association where he has served on the Board of Directors. He was also honored with the Dr. Charles D. Seeger Memorial Award for Nebraska Young Optometrist of the Year.
He and his wife, Penny, have two boys, Dustin and Tyler. In his free time he enjoys spending time attempting to play golf, watching an array of sports like UNK athletics, Storm hockey, and Nebraska Football and Volleyball.
