ROETMAN JOINS ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL OF BUFFALO COUNTY AS VICE PRESIDENT

January 4, 2017 – KEARNEY, NE – The Economic Development Council of Buffalo County is pleased to announce that Elizabeth Roetman will be returning to the organization in a leadership role as the Vice President of Economic Development. Roetman formerly served as an Economic Development Specialist for the organization before taking a position as the Membership Director for the Kearney Area Chamber of Commerce in 2014. Roetman will begin her new position with the EDC on Monday January 9th, 2017.  Darren Robinson, President of the Economic Development Council of Buffalo County stated, “Kearney and Buffalo County has experienced tremendous growth and investment over the past 5+ years. Having someone as talented as Elizabeth in a leadership role provides the organization with the resources needed to work strategically on future growth opportunities.”
 
Roetman’s last day with the Kearney Area Chamber of Commerce will be Friday January 6th, 2017. Max Kathol, President of the Kearney Area Chamber of Commerce said, “Elizabeth has done a great job for the Chamber and we will miss having her in the office. We are pleased that Elizabeth has an opportunity to move into a leadership role and still be actively involved in the Kearney Area. We wish Elizabeth the best of luck and we know that she will do a great job for the community.”
 
In addition to her roles stated above, Roetman’s prior work experiences include a position as an appraisal/marketing assistant for Investment Property Exchange of Kearney, a marketing representative for Mobile Medial Services, in St. Joseph, Missouri, a human resources assistant with RQ2 in St. Joseph, Missouri, and administrative assistant membership with the St. Joseph Area Chamber of Commerce.
