Kearney - The Kearney Area Chamber of Commerce Business Committee would like to recognize Computer Hardware, Inc. as the Spotlight Business of the Month.

On Wednesday, January 15, the Kearney Area Chamber of Commerce Business Committee presented Darrel Albers, owner, with a plaque of recognition for his service to the Kearney area.

“We started in 1980 in Kearney.  Back then computers were mostly for businesses and cost 4,000-5,000 dollars each.  It’s obviously changed a great deal over the years,” stated Albers.  “We are still the oldest and largest Apple dealer in the state of Nebraska.”

Computer Hardware has retail locations in Kearney, Hastings, Grand Island and Lincoln with a service only location in Omaha.  Twenty four employees work for the company throughout the state.  In addition to sales and support for Apple Computers, they sell a wide variety of other leading window’s brands and Google notebooks, provide warranty service for Apple and Lenovo products and service almost every other brand of computer as well.  They also do network consulting, install and maintain servers as well as wired and wireless networks.

“We fix and repair about 600 machines a month and also provide electronic recycling for central Nebraska; keeping several tons out of our local landfill annually,” added Albers.  “We take pride in supporting our many clients, some still from when we started in 1980!”

In Kearney, you’ll find Computer Hardware at 2315 2nd Ave.  To learn more, contact Darrel at 308-234-9335 or at darrela@computerhardwareinc.com.  To inquire about the Kearney Area Chamber of Commerce Business Committee, visit www.kearneycoc.org, or contact Leslie Means at (308) 237-4671 or lmeans@kearneycoc.org.
