DESCRIPTION:The Kearney Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting its' fifth annual Kearney Oktoberfest brought to you by Bank of the West\, on Saturday\, October 6th\, 2018 at the Buffalo County Fairgrounds. Oktoberfest invites you to sample and learn about Nebraska craft beer styles. The beer festival and games are all tied together with traditions like a keg tapping ceremony\, games\, food and other special features. This year there are eight confirmed breweries that will be in attendance. We are proud to support these Nebraska brews from all across the state\, including:\n\n \n\n-Pals Brewing Company: North Platte\, NE\n\n-Mac's Creek Winery & Vineyards: Lexington\, NE\n\n-Kinkaider Brewing Company Broken Bow: Broken Bow\, NE\n\n-Thunderhead Brewing: Kearney\, NE\n\n-Steeple Brewing Co.: Hastings\, NE\n\n-First Street Brewing Company: Hastings\, NE\n\n-Blue Blood Brewing Company: Lincoln\, NE\n\n-Brickway Brewery & Distillery: Omaha\, NE\n\n \n\nAdditionally\, this year there will be two featured bands for the night's entertainment. The Leo Lonnie Orchestra will perform Polka inspired music from 6-8 PM. Pet Rock will take the stage afterwards and perform from 8-11 PM. Pet Rock offers a series of songs that are Soft Rock based for all 70's music fans.\n\n \n\nAttendees will be able to experience Oktoberfest's newest hangout spots\, "The Backyard" and our "Oktoberfest Sports Bar." The Backyard will feature a fun hangout spot that will have your favorite backyard games and will have the feel of being outside. Our Oktoberfest Sports Bar will have a bar like atmosphere with the luxury of having TVs so you won't miss any college football games happening. These two hangout spots will help add to the fun along with our fan favorite competitions: Stein Hoisting Competitions\, Hammer Striking Competition\, and the Brat Eating Competition.
