SUMMARY:Kearney Whitewater Association BBQ Public Float & Fundraiser
DESCRIPTION:The Kearney Whitewater Association would like to invite you to attend our summer BBQ Public Float and Fundraiser being held on July 28. Join us on the river for a beautiful evening float on the new Kearney Water Trail starting at the new Yanney Park landing. Plus this week we'll go farther downriver to see the tree covered sections past Central Avenue. We'll take out at the Kearney Paddle Sports landing near the Kearney RV Park & Campground north park.\n\n \n\nAt the take-out we'll provide pork sandwiches\, sides\, desserts and drinks while we enjoy great company and a beautiful streamside setting. There will be a free will offering and donations will also be accepted. Come out - have a great time   support a great cause and help bring more recreation opportunities to our great city! If this describes you please plan on showing up at the Kearney Paddle Sports landing between 7 & 7:30 (about when the boaters reach the end of the float). Enter at the north RV park and (slowly) drive approx. 3/8 mile east.\n\n \n\nThis is a PUBLIC INVITE to paddle\, if you plan to paddle you will need to supply your own boat\, paddle and lifejacket as well as be responsible for yourself and your friends/family as it relates to paddling skills\, etc. Liability Waivers will need to be signed by all participants prior to launching at Yanney Park.\n\n \n\nDETAILS:\n\n*Show up as early as 5:30\, Brief safety and KWA Vision TALK\, then launch at 6:00pm.\n\n*Float will be around 90 minutes on the water\, from Yanney Park on 11th Street to the private Kearney Paddlesports Landing near the Kearney RV Park downriver.\n\n*Theme   Hawaiian   Dress in your favorite Hawaiian attire!\n\n*There is NO SHUTTLE PROVIDED THIS YEAR! But we will all need to help each with ride sharing and help getting to the put in and take out.\n\n*PLEASE - in order to evenly distribute vehicles\, we need about half of the vehicles to remain at the put-in (Park at Peterson Center lot) and half at the take-out east of Kearney RV Park north park. We can and will all help each other share rides at the conclusion to get everyone back to their vehicles\, etc.
