DESCRIPTION:(Kearney-June 30th\, 2017)   Kearney Community Breastfeeding Initiative (KCBI) is opening a Nursing Mother's Room at the Hilltop Mall. The Ribbon Cutting event is Friday\, June 30th at 1pm. Gifts from Herberger's will be provided to the first attendees. KCBI received a grant from Nebraska Breastfeeding Coalition and is partnering with Hilltop Mall and Suite Child in downtown Kearney to add two nursing mother rooms to Kearney in those businesses. The nursing room at Hilltop Mall is located between Herberger's and Exact Eye Care. It is outfitted with two private nursing areas\, complete with a chair\, side table\, and outlet. The room is free to use\, includes a changing table\, and is reserved for nursing or pumping mothers. Hilltop Mall is maintaining and servicing the space. The KCBI needs assessment survey completed earlier this year helped guide KCBI on what breastfeeding support was needed in the community. The Kearney Community Breastfeeding Initiative is a group of individual members and organizational partners dedicated to breastfeeding advocacy\, education and support.
