DESCRIPTION:Nebraska Public Power District is proud to unveil its inaugural Volt Bolt 5k/Family Power Walk & Energy Fest\, taking place at Kearney's Yanney Park starting at 9 a.m. Saturday\, Oct. 15! Awards will be handed out to the top three winners in each age group by gender\, and special awards will be given to the overall male and female winners.\n\n\n\nBest yet\, participation in the event   in either the 5k or power walk   will help NPPD's Pennies for Power program\, a program which helps families in need pay their electric bills\, through registration proceeds.\n\n\n\nThe Volt Bolt is so much more than your typical 5k event. It's also a chance to bring your family and friends out for a fun-filled morning of hands-on activities and live line electrical safety demonstrations.
