Commercial Driver?s License (CDL) Basic Knowledge Class

The Commercial Driver’s License Basic Skills Course is a 15-hour class. Topics covered include:

·         General CDL Knowledge,

·         Pre-Trip Inspections,

·         Combination Vehicles,

·         Air Brakes, and

·         Transporting Cargo Safely

Other topics which can be included:

·         Doubles & Triples

·         Tank Vehicles 

·         Passenger  

·         Hazardous Materials

 Cost for the class is $150 per student. 

 This course is, meant for a person looking for part-time or local driving jobs. It may not qualify you for a position with national companies operating interstate, who usually require 2 years driving experience or completion of a Professional Truck Driver Training Program.
