As we move into the last few months of this year and the seasons begin to change, the chance for adverse weather conditions can increase. Thus, it’s important to prepare for the unexpected. Wireless devices make it convenient to do that. According to a recent U.S. Cellular survey, 51 percent of people use a phone to check the weather forecast. U.S. Cellular will host a free Device Workshop in Kearney, where associates will recommend tips and apps to help you prepare for emergencies and stay informed during dangerous weather conditions. The workshop is open to everyone. Attendees do not need to be a U.S. Cellular customer to attend. “We understand the importance of not only preparing for unpredictable weather, but staying informed during an emergency,” said Mike Adams, U.S. Cellular’s director of sales for Nebraska and Iowa. “Our associates are available to assist people in using their devices to check weather and news applications, keep in touch with loved ones and document essential photos and paperwork.” Please call 308-236-2075 for more information or to RSVP.
