Scrappin' on the Bricks

Calling all scrapbookers! Join us on November 8th, 9th and 10th at the Eagles Club located at 17 W. 24th Street for a weekend of uninterrupted time to work on your project(s). Friday, the 8th - 9 AM - midnight Saturday, the 9th - 7 AM - midnight Sunday, the 10th - 7 AM - noon Pre-registration is required and includes: - 6-8 feet of tabletop workspace - access to vendors - electrical outlets - four optional meals (lunch & dinner on Friday & Saturday) and a variety of beverages the entire time - a swag bag with discounts to downtown merchants - raffle tickets and prizes - an optional head and neck massage on Saturday - optional downtown tour of select buildings and businesses on Saturday Register and pay here by Friday, November 1st: https://bmlavene.wufoo.com/forms/p1pt4v5u1urre3c Maximum attendance is 50 people. Crafters of any kind are welcome. Please consider bringing an extension cord with multiple plug-ins and a desk lamp if you need a lot of light to work. Due to the Eagle Club's liquor license, drinks of any kind cannot be brought into or leave the building. There will be water, coffee, tea and soda pop available and is included in the cost to attend. The good news is that if you want alcohol, their cash bar will be available. There is a block of hotel rooms available at Best Western which is located off 2nd Avenue just south of I-80 at the discounted rate of $74.95/night. Reservations must be made on your own and prior to Friday, October 18th. Ask for the Scrapbooking on the Bricks block. They do offer breakfast. Parking is available at the Eagles Club. There is also street parking and a public parking lot southwest of the building (directly west of Cunningham's Journal). Proceeds from this event will benefit the Downtown Kearney marketing budget to continue bringing awesome events to the historic district of our community. Happy scrappin' and watch for future crops!
