Stamp Out Hunger

Each year, on the second Saturday in May, one of America's great days of giving and largest food drive in the country is conducted. This year, on May 12, we will be helping in the nationwide food drive! From 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Postal carriers and volunteers will be picking up non-perishable food donations to donate to local food pantries around Kearney. Last year, we raised 75 million pounds of food nationally! Want to help? Donating is easy, just leave your non-perishable food items in a bag near your mailbox by 9 am. Volunteers are also needed to assist picking up the sacked donations along postal routes. Volunteers will meet at the Kearney Post Office at 8:30 am. Routes will be assigned to vehicles to then begin gathering food and should be completed by 11 am.
