Join Activate Buffalo County on May 17 as we continue to promote a healthy workplace by collectively walking out on the work that keeps us tied to our desk chairs. This 27th annual lunch-time walk has become a staple in our community that re-energizes our local workforce and helps them take one small step toward a healthy lifestyle.
This year’s group walk will take place at the UNK College of Education, but businesses are encouraged to walk at their own workplaces too. In fact, hosting your walk at work can help you establish a route and encourage long-term active habits for your employees. If you do choose to walk with us at UNK, come when you can. We won’t have a formal event start, but will allow people to walk when their schedule allows over the lunch hour. Check out our official event flier for more details.
If you’d like to get your workforce signed up, please download this registration form and sign-up sheet. You can use the sign-up sheet to gauge how many employees want to be involved. Then fill in that information on the registration form and return it to us by Wednesday, May 3.
