Executive Assistant

The Executive Associate is the Chief Liaison for the SVCAA. This position oversees the faculty evaluation process, alterations to academic programs and development of new academic programs, academic protocols regarding faculty retention, tenure and promotion, scheduling and maintenance of the SVCAA's calendar and travel, coordination of all administrative leadership searches in the division of Academic Affairs.

  • Oversight of New Hire full-time contract process, part-time, adjunct & overload contracts
  • Oversight of Faculty Evaluation Process
  • Oversight of Academic Programs
  • Administer Student Talent Development (SET) funding, including application review and award notification, in coordination with the Executive Associate for Business and Finance
  • Prepare/process financial transactions
 
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in related field. In lieu of a degree, significant directly related experience may be considered.
 
Five (5) years of progressive administrative support experience, preferably in an academic or executive office environment.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex executive calendars, travel arrangements, and scheduling for senior-level leaders.
  • Experience coordinating high-level meetings and events, including preparing agendas, minutes, and supporting materials.
  • Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion and sound judgment.
  • Experience with financial and business processes such as budget tracking, invoice processing, and contract administration.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Ariba, SAP, Success Factors) and/or other productivity tools.
 
 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience managing the office of a senior administrator or executive is preferred.
  • Experience at the university of Nebraska is preferred.
 
An equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired may be considered.
