Position Summary
POSITION LOCATED IN KEARNEY, NE

The coordinator is responsible for coordinating and supervising testing proctors, administering and ensuring the integrity of accommodated testing, as well as development of academic accommodation plans for students with disabilities in health science programs. The coordinator collaborates with faculty, staff, students, accessibility services colleagues, and clinical education sites to ensure that accommodations are provided in compliance with federal, state and institutional policies on the UNMC – Kearney campus.

  • Ability to manage sensitive and confidential matters with discretion and work effectively with students, faculty, and administrative constituencies required.
  • Demonstrated awareness, knowledge, and skills in working with a diverse population.
  • Knowledge of federal and state laws related to providing disability accommodations in a university or college setting in compliance with the ADA and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and self-directed, able to work independently while also contributing positively to a team-oriented environment.
