As our Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner, you will have the opportunity to help youth and their families in rural Nebraska by providing behavioral health crisis intervention and prevention services, while working as part of an interdisciplinary team at our new behavioral health urgent care facility in Kearney.
Schedule: Casual work. Open to afternoon and evening coverage (1p-8p).
Pay rate as a casual employee is $49.40 per hour for a Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner.
The skills set we are seeking include crisis assessment that focuses on first session stabilization, provision of initial intervention skills, and brief treatment planning. The follow-up care or bridge care will be brief evidence-based solution focused strategies that match the patients presenting issue(s) with the patients/families capacity to implement. Specific modalities might include CBT, DBT, ACT, MI, and parent training. It will be essential that successful candidates are trauma care informed. Additional services including social work case management, care navigation, basic lab draws, and telehealth will be added as the program develops.

A Brief Overview
Provides quality psychotherapy and education to children, families and adults in the appropriate specialty/departmental needs. Diagnose and treat patients independently. Establishes and maintains professional working relationships with hospital staff, physicians, community agencies, and professionals.
