KEARNEY – The Kearney Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting its’ One-Hundredth Annual Meeting, on Monday, February 4, 2019 at the Younes Conference Center. This centennial celebration will highlight the teamwork and dedication that has built the foundation for success at the Chamber, as well as recognizing the accomplishments of the Kearney business community and honor guests.
This year’s emcee is humorist T. Marni Vos from Lincoln, NE, who is as funny as she is inspiring. T. Marni Vos is a motivational speaker who inspires her audience to be top performers at their work and as individuals. She has performed on Life Time’s “Girls Night Out” and opened for Jay Leno at the Comedy and Magic Club in Hermosa Beach. Vos will leave her audience laughing, free of stress and ready for change. Kearney is excited to welcome Nebraska Governor Pete Ricketts, who will be participating in the networking social hour prior to the main program. The Governor will also address the crowd at the beginning of this monumental celebration.
Attendees will hear from keynote speaker Mike Yanney, who is a Kearney native with over 40 years of investment banking experience. As a graduate of Kearney State College, currently known as the University of Nebraska at Kearney, and the University of Wisconsin School of Banking, he founded The Burlington Capital Group, LLC. The evening will conclude with the award ceremony, which will recognize the recipients of the following awards for 2018: Leadership Kearney Distinguished Alumni, Young Professional of the Year, Youth Friend of Kearney, Friend of Kearney, New Business of the Year and Outstanding Business of the Year.
