Fast Forward, a Kearney startup, is headed to Austin, TX next week to represent small town USA on the big stage at SXSW. Founder Dusty Birge will be pitching as one of the finalists in the Enterprise & Smart Data category showcasing their technology that is being used to prevent power outages and wildfires.

The SXSW Conference provides an opportunity for the global community of digital creatives to encounter cutting-edge ideas, discover new interests, and network with other professionals who share a similar appetite for forward-focused experiences.

Fast Forward automates the inspection of powerlines using proprietary computer vision & data management software. Inspectors install our patent pending roof mounted thermal camera on a vehicle to speed the inspection process by 10X. They recently completed a pilot project for (6) utilities proving a 1,300-mile thermal inspection in only 7 nights finding nearly 300 advisories.

"It is a pleasure to represent small town Nebraska and the Midwest on a global stage amongst great companies working to do good for the world. We've created jobs, solid technology, and are helping utilities and municipalities move inspection programs Fast Forward to better the grid," said Dusty.

We've established a cost-effective program to help smaller communities improve grid reliability through our technology in 2023, learn more here: https://youtu.be/oMAWHq1iMB4
