LK 34 Class Project - Tailgate!

Leadership Kearney Class #34 is holding a fundraiser to support the S.A.F.E. Center of Kearney!

The Spouse/Sexual Abuse Family Education Center (S.A.F.E. Center) is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing free and confidential support and resources to empower those affected by domestic violence, sex trafficking, sexual assault, and stalking while engaging communities through awareness and prevention education. The S.A.F.E. Center supports a five-county service area including: Buffalo, Phelps, Kearney, Harlan, and Franklin counties.

In April 2025, the S.A.F.E. Center experienced a devastating fire that impacted one of their most valuable resources - a safe housing facility. Replacing this facility has added costs and has impacted their services. It is our goal to raise funds for their crucial needs by hosting a tailgate at the UNK Homecoming football game. All funds go directly to the S.A.F.E. Center. In addition, every donation made on the S.A.F.E. Center's donation site enters you into our raffle for prizes like a one-night Grand Island Casino stay, UNK gear, a Kearney Area Children’s Museum membership, a Theragun, and Sporting Edge gear, plus a few more! We want to invite you to visit our tailgating event and enjoy food, fun, and to support the S.A.F.E. Center!
