Junior Achievement is growing in Kearney and we are excited!
First, because so many businesses and individuals contributed financially to make JA possible for the 2013-2014 school year!
Our next goal now that the funds are raised, is to fill our volunteer instructor positions. Windy Hills Elementary will be hosting JA this fall—starting in early October. We will be in need of 12 volunteer instructors. Buffalo Hills will host JA in spring semester 2014 and will need 8 instructors.
I hope you will consider being a JA classroom volunteer and to learn more about that, we want to invite you to the following:
JA Classroom Volunteer Informational Meeting
Tuesday, July 30th, 2013
Kearney Area Chamber of Commerce Board Room
5:30 to 6:30 pm
What will we cover?
Basics of being a classroom volunteer instructor
Time commitment—in classroom and preparation
How we will match you the volunteer to the classroom and teacher
And all other questions you might have!
Please join us, and feel free to bring other business associates who might be interested.
Thanks!
