Location: Kearney, NE 68848
Pay: $20.00/hour
Schedule: Part-Time | Monday – Friday | 8 AM – 5 PM (Flexible within business hours)

Associated Staffing is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Assistant to support a busy accounting department in Kearney, NE. This part-time, temporary role offers $20/hour and the chance to showcase your skills while gaining valuable experience in a professional office environment.

What You’ll Do:

As an Accounts Payable Assistant, you will help keep financial operations running smoothly by:

• Reviewing invoices and matching them with purchase receipts

• Preparing and processing vouchers, assigning payment due dates and verifying account details

• Paying invoices on schedule and issuing manual checks as needed

• Maintaining organized financial records and filing systems

• Communicating with vendors to answer questions and resolve discrepancies

• Assisting with reports such as cash requirements, use tax and materials-in-transit

• Supporting auditors during year-end reviews and handling occasional administrative tasks

What We’re Looking For:

• High school diploma (business coursework preferred)

• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

• Preferred: Associate’s degree in Business Administration and 1+ year of related accounting experience
