Environmental Services Supervisor. NE Cancer Center (UNK Campus)

Under the direction of the UNK Custodial Manager, this position is responsible for supervising and coordinating custodial duties for medical facilities on campus. Quality customer service will be always provided to the client. Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques is essential. Supervision of the essential functions of custodial activities for assigned buildings. Provide training and supervision of staff based on departmental standards. Supervise budget and acquisition of materials and resources need to perform job duties.

  • Infection Control: Supervise compliance with infection prevention protocols and cleaning standards
  • Supervise custodial staff including but not limited to time records, performance reviews, quality inspections, and work schedules.
  • Supervise budget and expenditures for resources needed to perform daily job functions.
 
Due to business necessity, this position may be required to perform tasks outside of typical job requirements at the supervisor’s discretion. This position is considered essential personnel based on job responsibilities, In the event of a campus incident, this position may be required to report to work, even during periods when the campus is closed, due to its essential nature.  
 
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School Diploma or GED education
  • 2 years of custodial experience that will enable the incumbent to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position.
  • Be able to follow oral and written instructions.
  • Travel up and down stairs, climb, stoop, bend, and work from ladders or platforms at various heights.
  • Interpersonal and communication skills as performed in a critical customer service capacity interacting with residents, department staff, campus staff and community external to UNK.
  • Valid motor vehicle operator’s license and meet University driver eligibility requirements.
 
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Previous custodial experience in the medical field.
