TURF SPECIALIST

Under general direction, performs a variety of skilled and semi-skilled tasks in the maintenance of turf throughout the park system.  Requires a high school diploma/GED and two (2) years’ experience in turf maintenance. Degree in turf grass and landscape management, horticulture, or similar field preferred.  Must have experience with turf products, product labels, herbicide and fertilizer application, and knowledge of calibration of equipment for turf management.  EPA pesticide applicator’s license preferred or ability to earn within 6 months of hire.  Must possess a valid driver’s license.
