Coordinates and supports AACD unit systems and functions that guide student success and career development. Supports special events, in collaboration with unit, Enrollment Management division, faculty, and other student success staff. Utilizes technology to communicate with, advise and support students, faculty and staff and the community as part of a comprehensive student success plan. Supervises peer advisors and supports advisor changes. Assists with communication and reports. Assists in tracking and reporting student development, internships and assessments. Supports special events, including New Student Enrollment, career fairs and student development activities. Provides occasional counseling and follow-up with students needing resources and guidance. Demonstrates sensitivity to needs of a diverse student population, working collaboratively with a broad and diverse range of colleagues, constituents, using a validating approach to students.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Positive customer service orientation
- Ability to interact with a wide range of individuals with diverse interests and needs
Preferred Qualifications:
- Two (2) years working experience in higher education or an office environment
- Experience working with college students in an academic setting
- Experience in office support systems, particularly Microsoft suite
