Environmental Service Technician Lead – Rural Health Building

 Under the direction of the Custodial Supervisor, this position is responsible for performing custodial duties for medical facilities on campus. Quality customer service will be provided to the client at all times. Knowledge or willingness to learn proper cleaning techniques is essential
 
Daily job responsibilities/functions to include, but not limited to:

  • Lead and participate in the Essential Functions of custodial activities of assigned buildings, along with providing training in the following areas based on department established standards.
  • Provide work directions to assigned custodians on job schedules, work orders and coverage
  • Proper use of labeling, dilution, storage and the use of all chemical
  • Proper use of equipment, maintenance, storage & techniques for their use
  • Infection Control
  • Sanitization
  • Emergency Response
  • Handle all Work Orders for Fire Extinguishers, Emergency Lights and AED's
  • Order supplies according to established guidelines & procedures
  • Pickup and/or delivery laundry and perform laundry duties
  • Lead & participate in major summer cleaning projects assigned
  • Lead & participate with Set up & Tear down for special events
  • Moving & Stacking furniture
  • Lead & participate in Snow Removal from entrances, steps & sidewalks within 15 feet of a building using shovel/snow blower & dispersing salt
  • Maintain regular attendance
 
 
Required Qualifications:
High School education/GED or a combination of experience and education
One year of custodial experience in the medical field
Valid driver's license
 
Preferred Qualifications:
Three years of custodial experience in the medical field
