The Facilities Management and Planning Department is now accepting applications for a Building Safety Technician. The Building Safety Technician is responsible for ensuring the operational readiness of fire protection and life safety systems within assigned buildings. This role involves proactive inspections, routine maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting of emergency lighting, fire extinguishers, ADA compliance, exit lights, and egress systems to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal codes.

Required Qualifications:
High School education or GED with one year related experience in fire protection, life safety, or facility maintenance
Valid driver's license
Preferred Qualifications:
Three years of experience in fire protection, life safety, and facility maintenance
